GV Fitness - Weekly Roundup

Every Saturday we highlight all of the fun and exiting things going on in our local area and in our gym. This week we are recruiting members to join our obstacle course race team 🏃‍♂️ and we have another workout challenge for you to win a free coffee ☕

Join our team!

In the coming months we are looking to enter some GV Fitness teams into a few different obstacle/adventure races (similar to tough mudder type events). To do this we are looking for both males and females volunteers who who like to get involved. There is no minimum fitness requirements simply a willingness to give it a go and a can do attitude 💪

Anyone who is interested in taking part and joining our team can register their interest in the gym at our reception or let one of our coaches know.

Workout Challenge

This weeks Challenge

500m Ski

Complete 500m on the Ski Erg as fast as you can

Another super simple challenge this week. You will start stood at the ski machine handles up in the air. When your ready grab the handles and start skiing until you hit 500m and record your time. 💪

Scores and Standards: The ski machine can be set on any resistance, all you need to do is record your time when the machine hits 500 metres.

Winner gets a free coffee of their choice so get moving! And tag your efforts on Instagram/Facebook for extra brownie points!

As you may already know we run a women’s running club here at GV Fitness. We also want to encourage as many of our members to get out running/walking/swimming/cycling as possible and to share those adventures with all of us here.
